Lactate Threshold Testing

The Lactate Threshold refers to the point during intense exercise where lactate builds up more quickly than it can be removed from the system. It is one of the most effectively used physiological markers of performance. Utilising the lactate threshold to determine training zones can greatly improve endurance performance.

Your Lactate Threshold will determine your performance ability in endurance events.

The test is usually carried out in conjunction with a VO2 max test and samples are used at each stage of the test to read the lactate levels within the blood.
